Who we are...

Who we are...

The ministry "A Heart for Orphans" - is an orphan ministry at Evangelical Christian Baptist (ECB) churches, missions, and funds in the CIS countries (Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Moldova)

Brethren in Christ who have learned first hand what adoption means represent our ministry. Those involved in our projects - are foster parents along with the children, whom they have adopted or taken custody of.

The subject of orphans did not occur to us through stories or books - it is the unique and sensitive care and the blessing of the children which has become a part of our lives.

It is very important for us that every born-again Christian asks himself: "How can I help these children?"

Because we live in countries where Christian principals about orphans have not yet been forgotten, there is an abundance of opportunities for us take action by adopting, taking care of, helping and protecting the orphans.

Our ministry - is a practical application of biblical principles for the protection of orphans – "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)

Our ministry – is a dedicated group of people, most of whom you know because of the work they do with orphans.

Our ministry - values sacrifice without expectations - "but the righteous give without sparing." (Prov. 21:26).

Our ministry - it is not an obligation, it is based on good will - "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure..." (Phil. 2: 14-15).

Our aim is to ensure that every orphaned child can be brought up in a healthy Christian family where he or she could be loved and receive blessings. We want these children to experience what we have once been through being welcomed by our heavenly Father.
